Champions 12 years ago in Canada, Argentina believe they have a generation of players that can once again challenge for the title after they finished as runners-up in the South American Under-20 Championship earlier this year.

Their star man is playmaker Gonzalo Maroni, who has been linked with both Inter and AC Milan, while Boca Juniors midfielder Agustin Almedra could also be on his way to Serie A, with Napoli interested.

Arturo Reyes' side arrive in Poland as dark horses, particularly given they are, relatively speaking, more experienced than some of the other assembled squads.

Juan Camilo 'Cucho' Hernandez is coming off an impressive campaign for Huesa in La Liga, though there is no place for Manchester City winger Ian Poveda, who was reportedly being considered for selection despite having previously represented England at youth level.
