That decision was questioned at the time, by those on the field and the City bench, and emotions were running high at the final whistle. Haaland was quick to let his hair down, with anger boiling up inside him, and did not take kindly to being nudged by Lo Celso as he made his way off the pitch.

Haaland, who was already ranting at the time, turned back to deliver a volley of abuse in Lo Celso’s direction – with the Tottenham midfielder told to “f*ck off”. Brennan Johnson and members of Spurs’ coaching team stepped in to hold Haaland back, before he raged off towards the dressing rooms.

WHAT NEXT FOR MAN CITY?

Haaland missed chances to get on the scoresheet during an action-packed encounter against Tottenham, with Dejan Kulusevski snatching a last-minute equaliser for the visitors. City will be back in action on Wednesday away at Aston Villa, with Rodri and Jack Grealish set to sit that game out through suspension.
